Produced at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, Blanton's traces its heritage to 1984, when Master Distiller Elmer T. Lee introduced the original single barrel bourbon in honor of Colonel Albert B. Blanton.
Originally developed for international markets, Blanton's Gold Edition became available in limited quantities in the United States in 2020.
Unlike bourbons blended from multiple barrels for consistency, each Blanton's single barrel release reflects the individual characteristics of its selected barrel.
